Faith Formation
This ministry is focused on young people ages 5 through 13. The basic teachings of the Catholic faith are provided in each level, through a basic catechesis on the Sunday Gospels. Appropriate for each age level, provided is catechetical references, exercises and activities based on the words of Jesus Christ and on his Gospel as celebrated weekly in the Sunday assembly.
Faith Formation for Children, Teens and Families at St. Theresa:
- Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade and their family are invited to Family Formation on Sundays each month from 8:15 AM – 9:15 AM once a month as scheduled.
- Youth Group - 6th grade through 12th grade meets Wednesday nights at 6:30pm-8:00pm.
Seeking the Sacraments of Confirmation and/or First Holy Communion for your child? Preparation of the Sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion begin after at least one year of Catechesis. Children must attend Family Formation Sundays regularly and scheduled classes and retreats with their parents and/or sponsor.
Faith Formation Catechists (teachers) are all active parishioners who gain significantly by guiding our children and youth at this vulnerable age.
